Overview

About this project.

A website for DG Travels, a private chauffeur and tour service based in Ahangama, Galle. Tourists can plan a ride, pick a vehicle and send a booking straight to WhatsApp. Past passengers can leave a review by scanning a QR code in the vehicle. The owner can update the whole site and print quotations from a built-in admin panel, without touching any code.

Smart booking form: Google Maps suggestions for pickup and destination, the driving distance worked out, and a ready-made booking message sent to WhatsApp
Vehicle picker: four vehicles, from a hatchback to a 9-seat van, with seats, luggage and features
Popular tours: Southern Coast & Surf, Hill Country, and Cultural Triangle & Wildlife, each with a one-tap WhatsApp enquiry
Photo gallery: albums, newest first, with a full-screen swipe viewer
Meet the chauffeur: photo, languages spoken (English, Japanese, Sinhala, Tamil) and service promises
Passenger reviews: live reviews with star ratings and the reviewer's country flag
Mobile-first design: bottom navigation on phones, large tap targets and a light animated intro

QR feedback system

QR code in the vehicle: opens a mobile feedback page with name, email, country, review and a 1 to 5 star rating
Instant alerts: the owner gets an email for every new review
Privacy: reviewers' email addresses are stored but never shown on the website
Spam protection: a hidden field blocks basic bot submissions

For the owner (Admin Mode)

Secure log-in: only the owner's account can switch the site into Admin Mode
Edit on the page: click any text on the live page to change it
Content manager: logo, photos, phone numbers, tours, vehicles and gallery albums, and whole sections on or off
Quotation bills: multi-trip quotes on the business letterhead, totalled automatically, printed or saved as A4 PDFs
Saved quotations: search, view, download again or delete, with automatic reference numbers (REF-001, REF-002…)
No publish step: every change is live as soon as it is saved

Search visibility

SEO setup: full meta tags, Open Graph and X/Twitter preview cards, and LocalBusiness / TravelAgency structured data
Indexing: robots.txt, sitemap.xml and Google Search Console verification

Vercel hosts the website and the serverless API, with images in Supabase Storage.
